My love of dogs and competitive nature was the perfect mix to get addicted to dog sports.  I currently compete in Conformation, Barn Hunt, Scent Work, FASTCAT, and Agility.  

My first experience with Barn Hunt was over 5 years ago and I have been hooked ever since.  As my dogs got more competitive, I realized there was a need for classes utilizing a full-size ring.  This is where On Point Dog Sports was born.  

I currently compete with 3 dogs at the Master/Champion level.  Renzo(Bracco Italiano), JoJo(GSP), & Tipsy(Bracco Italiano).   I'm also competing at Master Level and Detective in AKC Scent Work.  

"I love dog sports because of the relationship they build between you and your dog.  The key to success in any sport is finding ways to connect and communicate better, which adds to every aspect of your life together.  I currently compete with my standard poodle(Lincus) in barn Hunt at the Master/Champion level as well as Dock Diving, UpDog, AKC Scent Work, FastCAT, & UKC Shed Hunt.  I love training and enjoy helping dogs(and their people) find something they both enjoy.  I believe in an all-positive training philosophy and nothing makes me excited than a dog truly blossom and watching the human-dog relationship grow." 

 Amber has been competing in dog sports for over 9 years, she got her start in disc and expanded to Flyball, Scent Work, Treibball, agility, dock diving, fast cat, and Barn Hunt.  Amber has taught disc seminars and many private lessons over the years.  We are excited to have her join On Point Dog Sports teaching on Monday nights!

"I've been passionate about dogs from a young age, beginning with 4H and later as a foster for a rescue group. In 2021, my Doberman, Maze, came into my life, and we dove into the world of dog sports, starting first with FastCAT and CAT. Maze loved the excitement of running, but Barn Hunt brought a new level of teamwork. Instead of just sprinting, we're now focusing on scent detection, strategy, and problem-solving. The connection we have in Barn Hunt is special and seeing her work in sync with me is amazing. Helping other teams get started in Barn Hunt has been equally exciting! It's so great to watch new dog-handler teams discover how much fun it can be. I love seeing the experience the "aha" moments, where the connection between them and their dog clicks."

Rebecca has had dogs all of her life. She has been participating in dog performance sports for 5 years now and Scent Work for 4. She and her sidekick Char have achieved their Scent Work Master Title and working on their Master Elite and Detective titles. Rebecca has taught several scent work classes and loves seeing students and their furry partners grow in confidence and relationships. Rebecca will be offering  Scent Work class on Tuesday nights.
